“The Bridge House strikes me as a particularly well-considered Georgian property in Bridport; its Grade II listing hints at a careful preservation of original features alongside stylish decor. I'm especially drawn to the commitment to locally sourced ingredients in its award-winning breakfast and Potting Shed Bar, which seems to make the hotel a social hub. Its proximity to the Jurassic Coast and beaches, coupled with thoughtful amenities such as EV charging and a cycle shelter, make it ideal for exploring the area.”

The hotel includes a handy car park . The breakfast offering was excellent and catered for all tastes. The vegetarian option was first class (I am not vegetarian myself, but I tasted it!).
I found the shower to be a little small.

Excellent Stay and Friendly Service

helpful staffon-site car parkwell decorated roomclose location
The staff were helpful. I appreciated the on-site car park, made arrival and departure easy. My room was well decorated. I also enjoyed the hotel's close location to local restaurants (I tried the Thai restaurant!).
The WiFi signal in my room was weak.

The room included tea and coffee. The bathroom had complimentary toiletries. I also found the room to be very clean upon arrival, which I appreciated. I got a good night's sleep.

Breakfast included both a full English option and lighter choices. I found the basement restaurant to be well kept. I also saw staff constantly cleaning and tidying the bar area (a nice touch, I thought).

The room included a coffee pod machine and a kettle for tea. I found fans in the room and this was good because it was a very hot weekend. A shared fridge was available on the first floor. It had fresh milk.
I could not get the rooms WiFi to work. My stay was only one night.
